Title: I Want To Live In...
Description: Sweden? Japan? Middle Earth?

The Breed - May 2, 2008 12:51 PM (GMT)
So what are places that people would like to live in? Real or fiction, either's fine.

_______________

I wish I lived in Final Fantasy Land XD *catches the nearest Chocobo to work* I'm serious. I'd die of happiness if I suddenly woke up in a Final Fantasy game like FF VII. Just because....dude...chocobos. And Cloud ....and VINCENT! *dies of uber FF love*

On the flipside though, me all zee way down unda', I'd love to live in the Netherlands or Norway. Why? Politically neutral =3

AshBeanNun - May 2, 2008 12:56 PM (GMT)
Ireland. End of story.

...Or if I'm being more realistic, close to the beach in South Carolina. Maybe Charleston.

samaside - May 2, 2008 01:10 PM (GMT)
I want to live in the Star Wars galaxy.

Hands down.

Nirinia - May 2, 2008 02:19 PM (GMT)
The Breed, do you really want to live up here (Norway, that is)? While we may be politically neutral, our politics are a bloody chaos, and we are too weak to know what and how to do anything. Oh, and we're stuck in a sociopolitical oblivion.

I would love to move to England, or Hong Kong. England to be in a country with some of the worlds top universities and minds, and Hong Kong simply because it is an amazing place.

sunny - May 2, 2008 02:48 PM (GMT)
Hmmmm . . . I'd absolutely love to live in England. Or maybe Ireland. Not sure. Oh wait, Italy!!

BurningtheFire - May 2, 2008 02:55 PM (GMT)
I'm quite happy with Scotland

Sort of agree there, Nirinia. Though I would love for Le Breed to live up here :p Whole different reasons, though. H'aaaanyhoot!

I would like to live in Japan. Anywhere in Japan. Yes, I'm a nerdy freak, but bah! I would! I'd never have any money for anything, but I'd be happy *nod nod*

Korea might be nice too.

truthfullies - May 2, 2008 03:09 PM (GMT)
Ireland, Greece, or Croatia. So much history and beauty in these places

Colm - May 2, 2008 03:28 PM (GMT)
I'd go for England, Japan, or Italy. England because they speak English (the Queen's English, but it's still understandable), Japan because they're the technology capital of the world, and Italy just because of the architecture, history, and good food.

tarot americaine - May 2, 2008 03:29 PM (GMT)
I have a thing for Finland, and would love to live there. Lovveeeee. It's a long story.

Beyond that, I don't really mind where I live.

I live in the Countryside. Not many University minds... lots of c0ws though

I'd like to live in Japan... that or Cyprus :rice:

John-My-Hedgehog - May 2, 2008 04:12 PM (GMT)
Realistically, I'd love to live in Chicago. I visited once and really loved it for some reason. A little less realistically, anywhere in the United Kingdom. Fantastically, I'd love to live in Middle Earth (Lothlorien), Renaissance France, Tudor England, or Naboo. Naboo is so shiny.

Lici - May 2, 2008 04:22 PM (GMT)
Hmm. London, I think. I do love London, but I don't know if it would lose it's charm if I lived there permanently, as opposed to being a tourist.
Wales would be good. And Ireland - so much greenery! But also Scotland. Just anywhere in the UK other than where I am now? XD

Gowd - May 2, 2008 04:34 PM (GMT)
Woooowww triple post DX

I'd like to live in feudal Japan :p little edit to mine. not that im watching inuyasha or anything...

.buburuza - May 2, 2008 04:52 PM (GMT)
When? Nowadays. Where? Norway or New Zealand.

Atricea - May 2, 2008 07:25 PM (GMT)
In present time I'd love to live in Australia... amazing country, great people, love the nature... :)

... and else than that, I'd just like to live in another time period. Throw me back to the stoneage, or the viking age, or into some 18th century society. Oh the Caribbean during the Golden Age of Piracy! YAY! :D

Mousie - May 2, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
I'm pretty happy with Australia -- it's pretty much like living in seven countries at once. Especially here in Melbourne.

Outside of that - I'd like to live in the place in my head, where one of my characters comes from. Okay, it's a little backwards and they have laws where murder is perfectly legal so long as you aren't caught in the act, but the costumes are great.

Or Canada, I hear that's fun. England. Mebbe NZ, if I could swallow my pride..

Final Fantasy all the way!!

Other than that, let's see -- NYC, Philadelphia (where my best friend is), or some tribe like in Africa or South America, but only if I was born into it. :3

.. being a witch in HP wouldn't be bad, either. XD

December, Esq - May 2, 2008 07:56 PM (GMT)
New Zealand or Rivendell.

RomanHk - May 2, 2008 08:46 PM (GMT)
Hong Kong, Tokyo or New York

Claire-de-lune - May 2, 2008 09:03 PM (GMT)
I'd love to move back to Australia. Italy and Spain would be cool too. Australia is more realistic though.

Mostly cause I have friends in Norway that I love. I'll visit Okami while I'm there! ^_____^
*Loves her sig of the Pi!*

That and Australia isn't the greatest in politics. We have a completely mish-meshed system of how things work and we had an idiot in charge of the country for ages. lol

No offense, the man did some good work in some places, but my opinions negative of him. He knows who he is *nod*

Come to Adelaide if you do! ^_________^ *Is still working on getting Mousie over here too >=D mwahhahah* We have Rundle Mall's balls! It's pretty cool XD

Vildea - May 4, 2008 11:07 PM (GMT)
Hm... I'd have to say that while I'd love to live in Greece, England, Scotland, Wales and even Australia (despite the fact that 90% of the creatures I fear can be found in large quantities there) I do have to say that I like Norway. Not for our politics, and Oslo isn't a pretty town either, or clean, and the people aren't necessarily the nicest either... Well that depends, there's some really awesome folks out there... But, I don't know, I like Norway anyway. Although... I wouldn’t mind a change of scenery either... For a year or two...

Breann - May 4, 2008 11:28 PM (GMT)
Pretty much anywhere in Europe, but most likely the U.k
Honestly, Id just love to be able to go on vacation to Rome or Germany or anything for that matter, when I get a decent amount of money when I get older, Id absolutely love to go and just travel around.

Klomonx - May 4, 2008 11:50 PM (GMT)
I'd like to visit: Austrilia, Translyvania, or Baltimore.

Why? Well Austrillia, just because its Austrillia, Translyvania because I wanna pick up a translyvaninian accent and/or because of Dracul and Dracula, and Baltimore well Edgar Allan Poe, of course.

With fictional places..I could go on and on with that, and I'd rather not because they're all places in the old 1800's books, and no one would know where I'm talking about. haha. (whoot 221 Baker Street here I come!)

Nda - May 5, 2008 12:05 AM (GMT)
I'd love to be... anywhere but here. >.> Preferably where the weather is fairly consistent. I dunno, rural Minnesota is just so... meh. The weather has been so wierd. It'd be 60's during the week (beautiful weather!), and then it'd be 30's with snow and sleet by Saturday. ><" I just want to soak up the warm weather!

I'd like to live in NYC, because I visited there once and I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. ^-^ That or Portugal. I'd like to learn more about my culture. =3 OH! And I hear that Chile and Bolivia are beautiful. <3

Emma - May 5, 2008 07:08 AM (GMT)
Yay my country is mentioned! Go Dec! And...burburuza? (gah, it's wrong!)

Realistically, I'd like to live in Wellington (NZ). Art capital of NZ, you know. Not that I'm arty. But I might find cool clothes! And I could write and live in a beat up little apartment with a great view and good light. Yep.

Unrealistically, I'd like to live in NZ with the shopping opportunities that one could get by living in NY, London, Paris....every place on the entire earth...only at much cheaper prices.

Fantastically, I'd love to live in inner inner Narnia (just read the Last Battle) because that's Heaven and it'd be awesome.

allieteration - May 5, 2008 07:24 AM (GMT)
... New York. Because my cousin tells me how awesome it is.

... Narnia. Because it's Narnia. <3

Good friends might help, but our politics are equally messed up, I'm afraid. We seem to believe that the party whose politics saved us after WWII (and are largely the same today), is still fit to govern *headdesk* That, and it is an unbelievable chaos at times. But, there are a lot of lovely people here, and we have a beautiful nature Ü

I think there might be something about politics, perhaps it breeds morons? One every twenty or so years is born, and destined to be in charge at least once.

SamanthaJean - May 6, 2008 03:02 AM (GMT)
I'd want to live in the reign of Henry the 8th in England.

Metallicar - May 6, 2008 05:26 AM (GMT)
ENGLAND. pronto.

Rae - May 6, 2008 01:15 PM (GMT)
Orkney Islands :)

North of Scotland. Never gets hotter than sixty or colder than forty, always has a steady wind, which I love, and in the summer, the sun never fully sets; During the night, it nestles down on the horizon and creates an all-night twilight.

It's breathtakingly beautiful.

vheissu - May 7, 2008 05:21 AM (GMT)
lol awesome thread, Breed. =]

I want to live in.....a happy Harry Potter world. Just cause magic being all around me sounds way too fascinating!

Realistically? Sweden!

SmathNa - May 7, 2008 05:43 AM (GMT)
Italy. I love Italy.

Ideally, I'd live in Ancient Rome or Greece, or, even more ideally, early 19th century Copenhagen, so I could meet Kierkegaard.

Kryptic - May 7, 2008 07:41 AM (GMT)
Mmm... Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, Kyoto (Japan), Japan (in general), Hong Kong (IMO, probably one of the better governments in the world)...

Fantasy-wise... There's a lot. But I just can't come up with anything off the top of my head.

I wish "The World" of .hack// was real. My fantasy MMORPG. LOL.

neon lights - May 7, 2008 02:44 PM (GMT)
    London!
    In particular, Camden =3
Because I always look at gigs there and wish I could go.
    And London is pretty cool.
I dun like where I live D; West of Scotland.

spiritrain - May 7, 2008 09:51 PM (GMT)
I want to live in Italy only because the food is great, plus they're pretty laid back, or so I've heard, which is my kind of style

araelen_weyr - May 8, 2008 12:44 AM (GMT)
It may not sound glamorous, but I honestly want to live in British Columbia! I love the mountains, and if I could go for hikes every day, that would be amazing. The views are breathtaking.

Meredith - May 8, 2008 01:00 AM (GMT)
Diagon Alley from HP I want to live in London or Bath, both in England. I love both of those places sooooooooooo much. I just love Britain.

Elenlond - May 17, 2008 05:27 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't mind living in New Zealand because that's where some of my family lives, maybe in Japan for a little while, or maybe even Sweden or something because of the way their government is set up.

In terms of a fantasy world... Maybe anywhere during the Middle Ages? XD I dunno... There are lots of places I wouldn't mind living in.
