Title: [S] Yet Another Side Bar Issue...

nadja - April 27, 2008 06:16 PM (GMT)
ok, so, i've been looking through the original thread for the sidebar but i haven't found what i'm looking for or i over looked it. point is, i have a problem. it used to be a big one but i fixed most of it on my own. now, it's just annoying.

when i go into certain parts of the board, board's banner is pushed down while the sidebar is where it should be. it's like the actual board sinks but the sidebar remains. i know there's a way to fix it, i just don't remember what.

anyone care to enlighten the dunce?

Which site is this? It would be easier to help if you pasted the codes as well.

its on all three of my sites. i remember reading something about how there's a line in the css about the board's alignment and changing the alignment to 'top' rather than 'middle' or 'center' or something but i don't remember what, exactly.

All three look fine in the index for me. What parts do you have to be in for this to happen? And whereabouts in the headers have you got the sidebar code? Between which tags?

Oh, I see what you mean now- on the first site, it's that way for me on the index too x.x Emma, the banner moves down whenever you click on any of the forums.

Can you post the codes, so we can try and get this thing solved?

it wasn't needed, afterall, and it was stretching the page

check in your board wrappers. the headers area. make sure you have the valign=top in the <td> of where it says < % BOARD % >.

SO. you want:

<td valign="top">
<% HEADER %><% NAVIGATION %>
<% BOARD %>
<% STATS %>
</td>

that should fix it.
