Q:
A:

Q: Why can't I post in the Directory Submissions?
A: In order to advertise here on RPG-Directory, you must have 15 quality posts first. This to prevent hit and run members. Because we offer so much more then only advertising.

Q: Why do we need 15 posts before we can make a submission?
A: This is a very good question. We require 15 posts because we are not 'only' an advertising board. And with those 15 posts, we want members to understand this. We have a lot more to offer next to the advertising, you can find affiliates, find staff members, discuss forum management, look for other RPG's (or post in those threads), you can talk about a variaty of subjects or showcase your graphics or writing and find documentations.

As you can see, if you participate in everything, in no time you'll have 50 posts instead of 15. It is also to make the hit and runner members less. We don't like hit and run members. Nobody does.

Q: Can I submit more then one site in the Directory?
A: Yes you can. As long as it isn't the same site, you can advertise as many boards as you want, seeing they comply with the rules and guidelines of course.

Q: Can I submit a non-forum RPG?
A: You can now! We have created a special subforum for non-forum RPG's. The only thin you have to do is to make a submission and keep to the advertising guidelines. Specify you want your advertisement to be moved in this forum. This forum is meant for RPG's hosted on simms, wiki's, blogs etc. etc.

Q: I deleted or put my forum offline for good, but it's still in the directory, what should I do?
A: PM an Index mod or Index Manager. They will take care of the thread. If a board is deleted, or permantly turned offline, there is no need to have it in the Directory anymore.

Q: My RPG died a while ago, but I used the same board to start up a new RPG, but my old advertisement is still in the Directory, what should I do?
A: The best thing is to pm an Index Mod or an index manager to inform them. Your old advertisement will be trashed so you can submit a new advertisement again.

Q: Is there a way to re-open my trashed advertisement?
A: We won't move trashed advertisements back. But you can of course make a new submission in the directory submissions forum. But do check your trashed advertisement if your advertisement was trashed for any particular reason if you had posted it in the submission forum.

Q: Can I bump my advertisement?
A: Yes you can, but you can only bump your topic once a month after the last reply. Further bumping and double posting is forbidden!

Q: I received a pm advertisement from another member, and he/she has advertised their site in that pm. What should I do?
A: You should forward this pm to an administrator, either ShinLi or Horsecrzy721. PM advertising is against RPG-D's rules.

Q: People ask me to pm them once I open my forum because they saw my idea posted here on RPG-D, can I pm them a direct link?
A: Well, pm advertising is against the rules. However, you are able to pm them the link to your advertisement here on RPG-D, and not a link to the board itself. That's the best way to do it.

Q: Can I make my own buttons to advertise RPG-D on our sites?
A: No, you can't. You can only use the button(s) we provide for you. Because it's meant to be uniform, people notice the same blue (or other button if we change it) button on different forums, and this makes RPG-D regonisable.

Q: I posted my submission some days ago, but it's still not accepted/looked at. Is there anything wrong?
A: There could be serveral reasons to this. One, we staff have a real life, so sometimes submissions aren't sorted on a daily basis. Another reasons and in relation to the first could be a back log. This that we have more then 1 or 2 pages of submissions, more then we can handle on a daily basis. Please be patient, it will be sorted asap.

Q: I'm going away for a while, but I want to let you people know, where could I post?

A: If you are going away for a while, either on vacation, or maybe your just too busy with school. You could let everyone know in the Away board, which can be found as a subboard in the welcoming board.

Q: I can't post in the forum, it says I don't have permission to post in there. What's up with this?

A: There could be a few reasons. If you try to post a thread in the Directory Submissions, be sure you have 15 posts. Also it could be you aren't allowed to post in a certain forum because your still in the newbie member group. After you get 15 posts, you are able to post almost anywhere.

Q I want a name change, how can I do this?

Q: I want to add a signature to my profile, how can I do this?
A: The first thing you do is go to My Controls then Edit Signature, here you can type in something or add an image or url link.

Q: How do I add an image or image that links to my forum in my signature:

CODE
[URL=link url][IMG]img url[/IMG][/URL]

Questions About RPG-D

Q:I'd really like to see a c-box on RPG-D, why don't you add one?

A: We've had this suggestion quite a lot of times before. And we have a few reasons of not getting a c-box. First of all it is an invitation for people to start spamming, especially on a forum like RPG-D, where the main focus is advertising your forum.

A second, and very good reason, is that a c-box increases chances to be hacked, as it's a weakness in a forum's security. And we don't want to comprimise RPG-D's safety only to get a c-box which can be spammed full by guests and (maybe) members.

Q: Can I affiliate with RPG-D?
A: First of all we won't affiliate with RPG's, this wouldn't be fair to any other RPG owner. We only affiliate to non-rpg websites. If you wish to affiliate with RPG-D, send a pm to ShinLi with a request to be affiliated.

Q: Why isn't the search option working?
A: Invisionfree disabled the search option. We don't know why really. So it's out of our control I'm afraid.
