Title: Help Naming A Laptop?
Description: Cause Mousie is sad like that.

Mousie - April 9, 2008 03:35 PM (GMT)
So, Mousie is finally getting a new laptop. She's awfully excited. She's had the same one for four years, and the poor boy no longer works without a power cord... and turns his screen off at random despite the fact he's set to never hibernate and the screensaver is disabled.

But I do loves him.

Unfortunately, he just doesn't do what I need anymore, so it's time to go WHOOPEE with scholarship money, and upgrade.

The problem is, what to name him?

My first laptop was Bruce, and he was about four years old when I *got* him. Trusty, until I fried the back of him with a powercord... which lead to Louis (current laptop). Louis was capable of running photoshop without dying! Until I got the new version of Photoshop, anyway. We've been through some tough times, and he featured twice on the photo wall for my 21st birthday. But alas, he wasn't powerful enough late last year-- and Arthur joined our family. He's my shiny desktop.

But we're having a baby, and I can't think of any names! It's a boy... that's all I know!

XD That's awesome!
Any ideas as to what laptop you're going to buy? My roommate's just bought a new one today..
I'd suggest, Nick, Jack or Ollie. :p

^___^ Have fun with your new laptop. <3

Phillip? I think it fits with the other names.

Jamie sprung to mind when I saw the thread title.

Or Fred.

How about Alan?

Panda - April 9, 2008 09:35 PM (GMT)
Burt.

Or Ernie.

Or Clive!

Herbert. Like my car!

Klomonx - April 9, 2008 09:39 PM (GMT)
Edgar, Bert, Eric, Charles, Duke, or Doug came to my mind first.

Alfredo, Al for short.

Congratulations on the new addition to your family. ;)

How about a name that can evolve as your "baby" grows older? :] Like Joey as the stork carries him home, Joseph as he's maturing, and Joe as he's getting ready to retire?

Something like that, whether or not you choose Joey as an example. ^-^

Gordie or maybe even Harason?

What do you call a computer with no arms and no legs that you throw into the swimming pool when you grow tired of the BSOD?

Bob.

What do you call a computer with no arms and no legs that you put in front of your door when it decides to eat all of your Word documents for absolutely no reason?

Matt.

Floyd, in honour of our trusty desktop which actually plays games.
