STDs were never something on Dalton's agenda. That's not saying he was always unsafe in his sex. No, that would be wrong and Dalton didn't feel like dying from HIV or impregnating every girl in the Ospoint area. Quite to the contrary, he was usually extremely careful. Just STDs never bothered him in the least. He didn't think he was gonna get one, he didn't feel like he needed to be worried about them. And even if he did, well, out of all ways to die, dying from having sex with tons of adoring girls didn't sound like a bad thing. He'd probably just try and make the last month or whatever of his life the best. No worries. But still, he never took them seriously in the least. Time upon time had his family tried to discuss to him the importance of safe sex and the importance of "being responsible" and all that boring stuff. It wasn't just his mom, though she usually had that talk with him once a month or so, just to make sure he was aware and didn't forget. His father also had talks with him, but his dad was more worried about him bringing in grandchildren than anything else. His parents yearned to be young. To look young, to be young, to act young. They were the typical middle-age-and-denying-it sorts of people. So that was his father's motives. But they weren't even keen about the slur of girls that Dalton had sex with every week. No, his brothers were the ones to lecture him about that. They thought he should show more courtesy and whatnot to women. That was a load of crap. The truth was, Dalton didn't think he was doing anything wrong. But that's not to say that he didn't screw up sometimes. Dalton was a notorious "I don't care about the law, I'm going to park my car wherever the hell I'd like to" sort of person. That's why he had a parking ticket in his pocket. Holly was right on target with accusing him of parking next to fire hydrants. But there was one right across the street from it, so why the hell do the fire trucks need that specific hydrant?!?! It made no sense to him. THAT was why he had parked there. Oh, that and the fact it was right in front of one of his favorite clubs. The closer to the club he was parked, the faster that he and a girl got home. Made perfect sense to him. He knew where that club was, so it wasn't all that big of a hunt. Dalton could find his car in a heartbeat, which is why he was the one leading Holly around and not viceversa. "Yes Holly," Dalton said to her "I admit to having a strange fetish for parking next to fire hyrdrants. It's really going to get me in trouble one day I swear," He said smiling, realizing that they were drawing closer to his lovely silver sports car. Hybrid sports car, that was. It was a fantastic car. Nice interior AND exterior and Dalton did his best to keep it in spectacular shape. He was pretty good at that, actually, so when the approached it, the rising sun reflected off the roof and into their eyes. He took the key out of his pocket and unlocked the vehicle, sliding into the black leather seats that Dalton usually stuck to during the summer. The rest of the year, however, they were very nice, so he had no intentions of getting rid of the lovely leather. Most men would, oh say, open the door for Hollywood or something along those lines. Show some amount of chivalry or whatever towards her. But that just wasn't his style. Dalton figured she could get into the car just fine. Why the hell did he need to open her door. He leaned across the armrest and passenger seat to unlock the door manually for Holly to get in. Looking out the windsheild, he saw that the sun was indeed rising and therefore getting into his eyes. Not the safest or most comfortable driving conditions. He reached over Holly and opened the glove compartment where his trusty sunglasses were waiting. Dalton put them on, looking very...private eye if he did say so himself. Okay maybe that wasn't the right description. Secret agent or spy was more like it. Or maybe just totally sexy driver. Either way, he shielded his eyes from the sun and stuck the keys into the ignitions, revving the engine of his lovely car. "Let's get us some pancakes," he said, in a fake, British accent, just to tease Holly. Turning briefly to look at her and flash her one of his best smiles, before pulling away from the curb and driving towards IHop. |
