Title: Banner Help
Description: Constructive criticism please!

Okay below is a link to a banner blend. This is my second one to do, and so I'm a little, eh, about something of the characteristics of it.

So here are my questions, if you had to guess from the banner, the relationship of the three characters, what would you say their relationships, if any to one another are? Also, I had a lot of trouble with the words and placement. White and black were the easiest to see, and I just had a hard time of figuring out where to put them so they were seen and somewhat artistic. I'm not dead set on the exact words but I like them.

Any other comments would be really good too. Border, no border? Extra flourishes in the corners? Background need more? Just let me know. Thanks!

PS. The floral pattern is supposed to be visible on Milla's hair and Jensen's jacket. And there's no need to answer all the questions, if you don't have an opinion on something. I just feel like there's something missing.

I have a major problem with the colors presented in this banner; I can't feel any sense of unity from it. Like the guy in the middle looks overly saturated. Not very much of a blend, I'd say :(

it's pretty obvious that you took three different pictures and put them together. the concept is well intended but the execution could use a bit of work. for one thing, i have never liked taking out the background of a picture to use a totally new background. it never looks right to me. by putting it on the characters you wanted in the banner, you were able to make this go over a little bit better but i still don't think it looks all that great. i would strongly suggest trying to find images that might look somewhat decent together [blendable backgrounds], working out the actual skin tones and the like [so that they look like they're in the same shoot] and maybe try working with some negative space...

o1. blendable backgrounds: just plain screens behind them would probably be ideal but maybe all of them in a similar setting? like a forest or something. i know, it's not that easy but you have to consider the definition of blending...

o2. if you look at the girl on the left and then jensen, you can tell there's no way they're in the same shoot. i would suggest trying to duplicate him and screen him with a soft light layer as well or something of that nature to get them to look similar. you want unity in all of your images.

o3. negative space is probably my favorite. if you drop the background image and, say, pushed jensen closer to the girl on the right and pushed the girl to the left farther left, you would have plenty of room to place text that might be much easier to read. as for your concern over the boarder, i am a huge fan of them and so i never disagree with that unless the colors are insanely out there.

just a few suggestions...

like i said, it's a great concept. the three models really look like they would belong with that tag line but blending them together is going to take some work and, maybe even, a new model or something.

Looks like the logo to some 80's style sitcom gone soap opera.

I never said that was a bad thing...
