Title: Do What?

Squirrelsy - March 17, 2008 06:12 PM (GMT)
So, I've noticed that it's not just my two forums that are erroring when I try and go to them. It's like a time out session. Also seen a few sites do the same on here but I think it's just invisionfree sites. Any reasons as to why?

The servers go down for maintenance periodically, so that could just be it.
Some of the IF servers go down more than others, particularly server 15.
Every forum host has issues at some time though, and I know a lot of people mentioned that IPB was having some serious down time recently.

This site can tell if the server is down or if it's another issue.

All right. Thanks for letting me know. Glad it's not my computer or something. Phew..

Okay. I take that back. Is this all just me? Or can others not activate invisionfree sites as well? I just talked to a guy that, apparently, could. I've tried it on this computer, a laptop, and another computer, and they all cannot go to those forums. Are their any possibilities as to what it might be? And if so, any suggestions as to how I can fix it?

Oh, you just can't get to them... ever?
That doesn't make sense since RPG-D is hosted by invisionfree.

I'd say there's some sort of block on the computer you're on, and you should adjust your privacy/security settings.

Someone posted this in another topic. You may want to keep an eye on it.

I posted that but it sounded more like they couldn't access any of the forums in general anymore... my dad reset my computer's privacy settings the other day and it accidentally blocked invisionfree until I changed the settings a little, so there's a chance that could be the problem.

Once I thought about it, it didn't really seem like it could just be that server 15 (which their site is hosted on) was offline because RPG-D is hosted on server 15 too.

Okay.. so.. It errored COMPLETELY for a good 2 weeks and just started working this past week - hence why I'm replying to this all now. I did everything we could think of, reset stuff, cookies, privacy, etc. And yes, it's every invisionfree site, even the homepage for IF itself. Recently, it's been off and on but does it temporarily ( like it errored all day yesterday but was fine the day before and even today. )
