| “Welcome Young ones” a dark voice filled the cave, the sound seeming to be coming from everywhere and no where at the same time. “I am what you might think of, as ‘the master’, I am indeed what you seek, I do have the answers, yet… These answers may not be what you think” A crack of lightening flashes a bright white light across the cave, making the flames flicker over the walls even more, the walls appearing to almost move due to the light, the storm outside raging more and more, the trees swaying heavily in the wind, being tossed about from left to right, almost as if they were being pulled from their roots but refusing to give up. A large shadow appears on the wall, darker then the rest, the fires showing that it has a mind of its own, it appears to be moving. A moment later a dark figure appears from it, stepping forward, his face covered by a blood red hood, his eyes shining through, dark green, and a hint of taint in them. The Hood trails down into a cloak, ragged at the bottom, ripped in several places, the sound of a clicking can be heard as he stepped forward, the defiant sound of a weapon on armour. The figure turns his head towards the entrance and sighs softly, raising his hand from his cloak, revealing a rather tanned skin, with a ring on the index finger, the ring itself seems to be pure gold, but in the centre of it, sparkles a blood red ruby. When the figure’s hand raises fully, it begins to glow softly, with the hint of shadows surrounding his hand, he jolts his hand forward, the shadows that had gathered around his hand spiralling forward and covering up the entrance, blocking the sound of the raging storm and any chance of seeing in or out of the cave. Raising his other hand, he pulls his hood down, revealing his face, or at least half of it. One side was the same skin shade as the hand; the other was covered by a black mask, only an eye whole being made into it. The mask seems to be held by nothing but the person’s face, maybe it was made for him. A small smile traces around the figure’s lips as he looks towards the 3 people in the cave. “So…” He spoke carefully, the lips barely parting, and his voice only just scraping that of a whisper so that the 3 people had to listen careful “You wish to seek answers to the reason why your people suffer? You wish to learn how to defeat that which is covered in shadow, yet is unaffected by light or fire? You have come to me, in hopes that I have some-how created these creatures and lost control of them?” The idea of the figure losing control of anything almost made him chuckle, but he shook his head and then looked at the 3, the fire still burning “No, I do know the answers, but you will have to find them out for yourself, if you do not survive my test, then you will all die, along with the village you so wish to protect. Yes, you are right, I did send those creatures there, and I rather enjoy the destruction they have brought you magic loving idiots. You will soon realise, that shadows and darkness, are some things that you will never be rid off, but you must learn to work with them, rather then against… But enough of my talk, you will have to bare the fights that face you… now… Defend yourself!” The figure raises his arms, once more, drawing his blades, the swords suddenly bursting in a shadow-like flame, the eyes of the figure changing from tainted green to tainted red, a battle beginning in the cave that so many people sought refuge in. |
