Title: [S] Help!
Description: Posting pictures!

pirate.bombshell - March 7, 2008 12:59 AM (GMT)
Okay so I try to post up my canon lists with many pictures of the canons and and every time I try I get a message saying:

QUOTE
THE FOLLOWING ERROR(S) WERE FOUND
You are not allowed to use that image extension on this board. A valid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.gif, an invalid format is: http://www.domain.com/picture.one.gif

What's the problem?

Where are you getting these pictures from? I know that certain sites don't let you hotlink their pictures, which causes the Error message or a picture telling you not to hotlink. If the pictures are from your photobucket account (if you have one) then you need to use the direct link (http://i230...) instead of the link for e-mail or IM(http://s230...).

If bookworm_sara didn't already answer your question, can we have the exact URLs and IMG tags you're trying to use?

I am using i23 etc. on my photobucket account.
I'm really lost, I've posted up images like these before.

I've had an issue like that before, where it made no flippin' sense at all. I re-saved the picture as a different format and that fixed it for me.

GAH! I was thinking of doing that too. Man, I guess I'm going to have to re-upload 114 images again. >.>

I still have no clue why it wouldn't work right in the first place, but it seems to be a recurring issue, if an uncommon one. =/

WOAH! Weirdness happened. I posted one pic up, and it worked so then I just got an idea to edit the post and add a bit of the canon list and it worked so I kept editing it, adding bit by bit! =D Now all the seniors are up! Hoorah!
