So, I am trying in vain to make my first RP site. It's going kinda rough seeing as though I have come to a road block at the very beginning. I can't think of a fitting name. I don't want to name it something stupid or cliche. Nor do I wish to give it the name of the school or town. I am having a lot of trouble thinking of something that will sound good. Does anyone have any ideas for me? Anything they would think of as a cool name. I am very indecisive, so I will never be able to come up with one on my own. Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have for me!

Well, first off consider the theme and plot of your RP. Is there a mystery involved? Is there a word, quote or part of a quote that fits? For example, my own site is called What Lies Within and deals with Hogwarts students dealing with a strange force that lives within the school and a friend of mine owns an AU Trio Seventh Year site named Belligero, a word that means conflict or struggle.

If you give us a few details about theme, plot and genre we might be able to bounce some ideas off of you.

That is the thing, I am not planning on having a huge story line. Or much of one at all. It is simply going to be an open ended high school themed Rp. I was thinking about different themes that go along with high school and thought that stuff like "beauty on the ouside corrupt on the inside" and "confused" and "a mix of fun and heartache" were all themes that seemed to go along with high school (definitely not things that I would pick as names), but maybe something to do with stuff like that. I was really hoping for a 2 or 3 word phrase.

Ok, so High School is the theme. Hmm...*ponders* Maybe something from the Greenday song "Good Riddance"? Like "Turning Point", "Time of Your Life" or "Fork in the Road" (since that's what high school/college/uni is for many people) The "Mix of fun and heartache" sounds like a good tagline though. I recommend keeping it for the site's ad. (Welcome to _____ High School, A mixture of Fun and Heartache)

Another idea is "False Reflections" (linked to cliques, shallow people, beauty/corruption)

Oh, yes! That was insanely helpful. If I don't end up using some of those ideas (which I very well may do), I am now pointed in the right direction!

Of course, if anyone else has any suggestions I am still open to hearing those as well.

*hugs* Glad to help. Naming sites can be a pain. My co-admin and I spent a while trying to come up with something intriguing that wasn't already in use or ripped from something else. (To the best of our knowledge anyways)

Best of luck to your site once you get organized. Just keep bouncing those ideas around. You'd be surprised what you'll come up with.

He, thanks. This whole thing is way too much for me, but I am attempting it anyway. It will be a slow and painful process that will eventually result in an RP board that I actually like a whole bunch!

Oh, and 'broken.' That is the word that had been sticking in the back of my mind and not letting me get to it. I will probably use that some how.

After I pick a name, I will revive the ever difficult quest of finding a good skin for the site. It's sad how many few subtle, light skins there are out there.
