Title: Your Style?
pirate.bombshell - March 1, 2008 05:04 AM (GMT)
So what's yours?
Mine's a mix of girly and preppy. What can I say? I LOVE PINK! =D
PS. sorry if it's been done before!
pathogenicoma - March 1, 2008 05:25 AM (GMT)
My style I think, depends on what I want to wear that day.
I could probably cover just about every option on that list. >< But most often, I would say, a mix of rock/punk/preppy style. Though, I haven't really "dressed up" much lately. Work is an evil thing.
sarahj - March 1, 2008 05:27 AM (GMT)
I voted plain. I really am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl xD
I do like bright colors though, so I'll usually end up with something akin to pink shoes and hoop earrings with a lime green t-shirt. Kinda weird, but whatever. I don't really care.
pathogenicoma - March 1, 2008 05:29 AM (GMT)
I always forget to buy colors. I keep telling myself, I need more color in my wardrobe... and then I see that awesome totally wicked grey shirt and I'm done for. >< I love grey.
But pink shoes and a lime green top with hoops sounds cute! ^^
Mariko - March 1, 2008 05:35 AM (GMT)
I voted artistic, not sure what it means, but it's closest to what I like. I don't own any vintage pieces, but I love vintage-inspired clothes, stuff that gives a nod to historical fashion (I'm a historical fashion geek), and I like quirky jewelry.
Mousie - March 1, 2008 08:31 AM (GMT)
I'm voting 'bogan'.
I wear jeans and t-shirts, nothing much more fancy than that. Dress for comfort, cause whoever designed women's clothing is a sadist.
.Ra - March 1, 2008 04:56 PM (GMT)
I voted other. Because it really depends on the situation, my style changes a lot. When I fly I like to me comfy so I will wear clothes like a worn in pair of jeans from when my mom was a kid and a male’s sweatshirt. But in generally I wear jeans and nice shirts.
But then again in the summer I only wear flip-flops and tanks. I love boy shorts but I also love sun dresses. Oh and I knit so I wear knitted stuff in the winter.
elphie49 - March 1, 2008 05:33 PM (GMT)
I usually wear jeans and a t-shirt when I actually leave my home for something other than play practice (where I usually wear sweats and a shirt because we run around alot and such). I love skirts and that sort of thing, but I never have any occasion to wear them. So I voted girly because I do wear alot of pink and light blue and light purple, but I guess I'm just casual. LOL.
sunny - March 1, 2008 06:04 PM (GMT)
Jay Serge - March 1, 2008 06:06 PM (GMT)
I'm meant to dress mostily surfy or very formal lol
Sunni - March 1, 2008 06:48 PM (GMT)
I went with plain. I'm a lazy American Eagle/Hollister girl. I wear the "name brands" (where I live those are the name brands).. but usually just in jeans and t-shirt form.
December, Esq - March 1, 2008 07:23 PM (GMT)
Okay, I have no idea what I look like. Help me decide.
I love either black pants or jeans and I will wear a long sleeve t-shirt with either a videogame or band t-shirt over it. I have some fancy shirts, but I feel bad about wearing those to school because they're too nice.
Oh, and I also wear fingerless gloves and a spiked bracelet.
My sisters say emo or punk and my mom says goth. But here's the thing: I don't look either because I have red hair. :p I just kind of categorize myself as "whatever I find in my closet." Yesterday I wore black pants, fancy white shirt, a vest, evening gloves and a spiked bracelet.
Faux Romance - March 1, 2008 07:49 PM (GMT)
I can never decide how I dress so I voted other. Sometimes I dress emo, and other days I dress preppy, it's sort of a mood thing. I'd say emo if there hadn't have been an other option. My friends say I dress scene but that wasn't even on there so I couldn't have voted for that anyway.
Edit: Sorry mispelling
pirate.bombshell - March 1, 2008 07:53 PM (GMT)
Yeah, sorry guys I couldn't think of every single fashion style so I just put other.
Oh and BTW, high class fashion would be clothes like: Gucci, Prada, Louis Vuitton, Lacoste, Armani, Chanel etc. Stuff that's extremely expensive lol. But that wouldn't include Abercrombie or Hollister or Lulu Lemon.
The Fox In Socks - March 1, 2008 08:15 PM (GMT)
Lol I want to meet the person wearing high fashion and give them a high five, because I wish I could afford that! My old style was skater, but I fell in love with the scene look so now my style is a mix of both: Plastic headbands, big hoop earrings, studded belt, hair choppy with layers, but my hair is long, I still wear regular ass flare jeans, skater shoes (mostly DC!) and a skater hoodie. Although I will also traipse about wearing a cute baby doll shirt and matching accesories, usually plastic, but always skater shoes. Then, I top it off with a Dooney and Bourke bag or my new one, a super cute large hollywood style Guess bag with my oversized Steve Madden shades. So I try to pull off some high fashion looks...but I can't help it! I love expensive purses and shades. My next shade purchase will be Dolce and Gabana, they have really cute sunglasses.
pirate.bombshell - March 1, 2008 08:18 PM (GMT)
I LOVE Luis Vuitton bags. My mom has one but it's waaayyy too big for me to use it. It's more of a traveling bag, I snag it whenever I go for a sleepover or small trip.<3
I'm saving up for my own though. :)
.buburuza - March 1, 2008 08:23 PM (GMT)
I don't really have a style and don't want one either. I've got a wide range of clothes, from chained jeans to pink tops, ponchos to dresses. I really don't consider an actual style when I'm putting something on, I just try to pick something which will make me feel comfortable. In my opinion, if you stick to one style the clothes are the ones wearing you, not the other way around.
Emma - March 1, 2008 10:30 PM (GMT)
I'm an op-shop girl. Almost all of my clothes come from op-shops. I usually wear skinny jeans or black parachute pants, black coats with safety pins all over, Doc Martens and just like black t-shirts but if I get bored I mix it up and wear a miniskirt with braces or my ripped op-shop skirt or a random vest. I never do anything with my hair (it's short) and I only ever wear sleepers through my ears, although I often hang safety pins or paperclips through them. I wear big, random makeup a lot. So I put weirdo.
t i l t - March 1, 2008 11:21 PM (GMT)
Dandy o-o;
I order stuff from h.Naoto and Miho Matsuda whenever I have the money xD; If not, it's Kodona— although that's considered a female style. I DON'T CARE RAWR.
Jeans are icky.
December, Esq - March 2, 2008 03:38 AM (GMT)
What does dandy mean?
Oh, and what would you use to define the rocker style?
Sunday - March 2, 2008 04:23 AM (GMT)
Dandy originated from a historical type of style, which you can see if you wikipedia it... I just imagine it as a really metrosexual guy. I don't know anyone, with the exceptio of tilt, who considers themselves dandy, though, haha. I never considered h.Naoto to be "dandy," though, it's more Japanese punk and goth lolita...?
Rocker style... IDK, there's so many different labels of rock. Are you punk, grunge, garage..? I guess for each genre of rock, there's a style. XD
Personally, I dress kind of preppy...? I think my clothes are cute, but I don't put a lot of effort into making a statement. So I suppose I'm preppy/plain.
China Doll - March 2, 2008 07:04 AM (GMT)
I picked other becauseeeeeeeeeee XD my taste in clothes varies a lot! I'm either dressing a bit gpthy or very feminine/girly. However my music taste remains the same! XD !! Alternative rock baybeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Panda - March 2, 2008 11:39 AM (GMT)
I'm 'Other' because every day is different. For work I'm smart-casual. This means I'll either wear all black and black accessories, or black trousers and something really obnoxious and loud. I like loud. But then I'll also switch into something more punk-esque for lazy days, or completely nuts in the summer. It really depends on how I feel, but I'm very experimental.
Yet I love my designer accessories. Sunnies, bags, (oh my god, BAGS!), jewellery, etc. Then I love my highstreet fashion. I have me a lovely military jacket I swear whenever it's especially cold, and one of those poncey looking beret-come-peak hats from accessorise.
But I spend most of my money on bags, I am shameful. I don't' buy many but I buy pricy because they give me joygasms. I would love to wear designer shoes, but my feet are ridiculously huge so I live in Vans, piratey boots and moccasins.
BIG jewellery is a plus. As with my clothing, some days I like obnoxious. Loud and proud stuff that does a little extra to stop me fading into the background.
I am also a hat person. As well as my poncey beret I have a bright pink fleecy sheep hat, several hats from the German market that comes over here from Germany. They're all spazz hats, by the way--we're talking woolly, tassles, ear flaps and even cats ears. I. Love. Hats.
Nirinia - March 2, 2008 03:57 PM (GMT)
Preppy with some fashion added, I suppose. At the moment I am dangerously taken with my oversized knit-wear (Bah, what good is the global warming doing if I am still freezing?), and belts to make sure they attain a something close to a becoming shape.
I aim for elegant/sophisticated, usually, and am obsessed with shoes in general, and heels in particular. Designer heels, preferably. And bags. I like jeans and pencil skirts, high waists and intriguing silhouettes. And sleeves are fun: I found a wonderful, very pink, top with sculpted bell-ish sleeves not so long ago. Anything that makes me look slightly more well-formed is a blessing, really.
I am no good at using accessories. I have few, and the few I have I am bad at using. The watch is lost somewhere behind a book-shelf, and most of my bracelets and necklaces are in a jewellery box I haven't seen for ages. Ear-rings however, I use religiously. Pearls, mostly, these days. And I love rings.
Oh, my most recent obsession is clutches. It started last summer, and now I cannot get enough of them *headkeyboard*
J-Ster™ - March 2, 2008 04:18 PM (GMT)
Eh, dont really have one style, i switch day to day. One day ill wear a Hollister shirt the next fish nets are some gothic stuff. just depends on what mood i'm in when i get up.
nikilynboo - March 2, 2008 09:52 PM (GMT)
I have a mixed style. I have alot of skater friends, including a boyfriend so I guess my style is leaning over more to the skater side along with some preppy, sporty, girly, and a little gothic or emo (not sure on the difference between those two styles).
I mainly wear blue jeans or denim skirts with leggings, or if I'm either too tired or lazy in the morning for school I'll just wear so yoga pants; I have a lot of darker colored tee shirts, like purple and blue and some black. I have a few light purple and pink ones. I also like pairing my short dresses with leggings.
I'm not a big tank top fan, nor tube top or belly top. I do, however, will wear tank tops when I'm working out or if it's really hot in the summer time. And I usually steal my boyfriend's extra skate sneakers or my older brother's old pairs, but I have to admit I am a HUGE fan of wedge high heels. I have like ten or nine different pairs. Then I also have some regular sneakers and some Mary-Jane's dressy shoes.

You know I've been looking everywhere but I just can't seem to find big rings. Not those tacky dollar store ones but those really cute fashionable ones. Do you have any suggestions? :)
xxinte - March 9, 2008 05:56 PM (GMT)
I don't think that my fashion type is on the list. I tend to be more professional with my looks. I wear the high collared white shirts and dresspants, heels to boot.
So. Sometimes on my more lazy days, I wear jeans and the occassional t-shirt. =/ Therefore - "other" was my option.
Fading Amaranth - March 10, 2008 07:38 PM (GMT)
I chose other because how I dress is just how I dress; it all really depends on what mood I am in when I wake up that day. Usually I dress in a casual, yet sophisticated way, but never anything that would make me feel uncomfortable. I can't really say that I am even a fan of the "high class fashion". Nothing I have seen from them really screams out "oh! Buy me!" to me, but that is just my own personal taste. I always try to dress reasonably without over or underdressing really.
vheissu - March 11, 2008 04:17 AM (GMT)
I'm going with what Fading Amanrath said; I just put on whatever matches my mood. Sometimes, I'll just throw on whatever without thinking about it -- I like to call this the Tokyo technique. Where it doesn't matter what the hell you put on, if it matches or not, in Tokyo everything works. XD
Yep, that's my mindset. I'm the person who prefers jeans and a tanktop, some flip flops and I'm out the door. But if I'm in quite the anti-social stare at me and you die mood, I'll walk around all day in my PJs. Pick up my little sister in my PJs, go to the bank in them, etc. My new "trait" is putting on socks and wearing them with flip flops. And I'm lucky if they even color coordinate. So yea, I'm other.
out_of_time - March 11, 2008 07:43 AM (GMT)
I don't have a style, per se. I wear what is confortable. But generally it's a t-shirt with some kind of rock band on it, or a funny slogan, and a pair of jeans, and 'cause I live in The Philippines I live in very colourful flip-flops. I also have a much loved and worn fedora.
Carbohydrated - March 11, 2008 08:08 AM (GMT)
I chose artistic, but I've been told I lean towards the hipster and urban dandy ends of the spectrum. I usually wear rather fancy and expensive-looking clothes (even though they're mostly all purchased from vintage stores), and I am obsessed with silk scarves like whoa. I stuff them into my jacket or vest like a cravat, and it's dead sexy. True story, hahah.
I've also been told by many people that while my style isn't costume-y or over-the-top (well, maybe sometimes), no one dresses like me and my style is very "me." I guess that's a good thing.
Atricea - March 11, 2008 10:06 AM (GMT)
I voted "Other", because my style varies a lot... sometimes it's a bit goth-like, because I do wear a lot of black, no matter what the style is... sometimes just feminine, and with longs skirts, or smart with tunics and leggins, fun stockings and sometimes piratical with knickers, a piraty shirt, bandana and a sash (I'm obsessed with pirates, and love to dress up like them)... and sometimes just ordinary and nothing special, like today with jeans and a shirt :)
In "my" circles where I come I'm mostly known for the pirate style - at my education at university, I'm known as "The Pirate", even to the professors - it's a bit cool :)
December, Esq - March 25, 2008 06:53 PM (GMT)
I voted other because I have many influences, but I don't fall into any category specifically. Goth, emo (uggh), skater, prep . . . multiple things.
Ermine - March 26, 2008 03:29 AM (GMT)
I am probably a mix of Emo, Weirdo and Artistic. Iunno, I've been called the Happy Emo before, criticized for my disinterest in shopping and trendy clothing, and usually like a printed t-shirt, striped long sleeve under it and skinny jeans. And a scarf. With stuff on my face from either my finger bleeding (I am a chronic picker of fingernail beds) or paint.
December, Esq - March 26, 2008 05:18 AM (GMT)
Okay, guys, I'm not fashionable at all. But what do you think of wearing a band t-shirt (slim-fit, not huge and baggy) with a dressy vest (pulled in a little at the waist) over it?
sarahj - March 26, 2008 06:56 AM (GMT)
I think it sounds cute, but it might depend on the vest.
And it definitely depends on the occasion.
Rozenkreuz - March 26, 2008 09:53 AM (GMT)
I am PLAIN.
Well, actually, my style depends on my mom.
She always chose my clothes.
But usually I only wear T-Shirts, Jeans, then sometimes dress, or leggings, combined with baby dolls...
The only things I'd never wear is TANKTOPS and those sleeveless stuff.
I'm not confident with my body, that is. XD
Metallicar - March 26, 2008 09:59 AM (GMT)
where's indie?
that would be me + girly + rocker.
radtardedx - March 26, 2008 10:29 AM (GMT)
I really have no idea what my style is lol xD
I basically wear whatever I can find easily.
