I've noticed recently that a few people suddenly announced that they were of one gender and I had--for some crazy reason--thought that they were the other gender. Such as Tilt. Poor guy, I thought he was a girl. :sweat:

But that's okay; I thought ShinLi was some Asian guy until I saw her picture and she's definitely not. Unless she's really good at photoshop.

And if I mistake your gender, don't be offended. Most people think that I'm a guy for some crazy reason.

Don’t worry, I think it happens to most of us. Actually I generally try not to guess anymore unless it is really obvious

I got Gowd and Ra. wrong, but I've gotten most everyone else right.

I thought Dec. and Gowd were both boys (in fact, I thought Dec. was a really young guy when I first joined). It was the names. Very manly. But I figured out Dec. was a girl a long while ago when she posted something about it. Or someone posted something about it.

I thought Noodles was a boy! And then he assured me he was. ^_^ (Noodles, you really need to talk to that girl!)

And I never once thought ShinLi was anything but a girl.

And I think RomanHK is a boy. The name again. But half the time I don't really think about it. Because half the time I'm just not thinking. Or I just don't want to be wrong.

Haha, gender awareness has become almost a crisis on my board lately. XD It started with this prominent member of our board who made it onto the staff. This person was a member of the board for a year, playing a male character and letting us all think she was male, and only last month did she drop the bombshell that she'd been foolling us the whole time! :lol: Since then several people have surprised us with their genders, and at least two claim to be androgynous and won't say which they are.

The gender thing is always sort of funny. It's like we need it spelled out so we know if we are treating people accordingly.

I had a bus driver in high school ,for like three years, and none of us could tell if it was a man or a woman. I mean, we all tried to guess, but even the name was sort of in the middle... 'Jan'. It made us all nuts to not know and yet none of us were going to ask.. cause he/she scared the piss out of us.

Obviously my name could be kinda mistrewed for some sort of guy Blink 182 fanatic, though it perhaps might be a bit creepy in that pretense. Anyways, the name's Kara, and actually I am completely full of estrogen. In the feminine nature. And proud of it, thank you very much <3

Ever tried this "Gender Genie"? It'll guess which gender you are based on what words you use and how you write. Though, when it tells me I'm a girl for my boy's post, and a guy when I put in my girlie's post. I'm not so sure how well it works after all.

I come up female for my RP writing samples (in which I normally play males, even though I'm a girl) but half of the blog entries I analyzed came up male! So I tend to write more like a man when I write like I talk....
