The more advanced css is not my thing so I'm having issues

I would like to know where you put certain coding and how to place doing together.

I would like to make my boards smaller and my Side bar linked to main board.

I would also like my plot to be under the ads.

These aren't CSS issues, unfortunately. You can't have the right edge of your sidebar touching the left edge of your board because your current skin won't allow it; the left-hand image of the board is 81px wide, and includes all that burgundy space in between the two sections.

I also believe that change the order of the boxes is just a matter of adjusting the html. Width of the board should be easy enough to find in the main skin template.

Actually, put the sidebar code right above the <%BOARD HEADER%> tag and below any other code, and that will put your sidebar inside your boardtable. I'd suggest using all of the sidebar code first, and editing that afterward.
