I loved how advance and helpful we were on the site. I got better at writing, once only making one line posts, but now two pages. But…

For reasons unknown, the damn admin and creator shut it down. All I can get from my friends on the staff was that she wanted to started over with a new plot that involved muggles and technology which sounded very dumb to me. A year wasted because the admin was acting crazy!

I played as Hermione Granger and I absolutely loved how I played her. I got her into a little affair she was having with a cute, Irish, professor that was 12 years her senior (she was eighteen at the time) and I created original spells for her to make in the board world. Before the site closed down, Hermione had just admitted feelings for her lovely professor man and told Ron off (or well…laid him down gently) after a year of seeing the professor. And I had fifteen bloody freaking damn pages full of original spells (name, descriptions, and translations) for Hermione to use!

But the admin/creator said she wanted to make a new site and new plot. *rolls eyes* We tried and tried to get her to turn the board over to us, bring it back to invisionfree (it was now a hosted site) again and let us start it. But no, she didn’t want anyone touching her effing baby >_<! She was acting like a baby.

And now a few months after the closing, she promised to send us emails on when she was making a new site. But no word from her at all. No one has since talked to her; she just completely disappeared off the map.

And I have fifteen pages of spells that I spent countless hours on and nothing to do with it. I’m at a lost on what to do. I was born to play Hermione and I can’t do anything because everyone has gone to Post Deathly Hallow which I find no joy in it.

Please, please help.

What do you need advice on? From what I can see... bring Hermione and a Professor to a new board where they will let you continue on. I'm sure plenty of sites would be willing to have you (including mine! =]).

I know you're probably really attached to the board, but if the administrator is being that stubborn about it, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Actually, I just need advice on what to do with my spells list. Most sites don't like original and out of canon things.

If you post your spells list here, I'm sure tons of people would be grateful. There are a lot of HP boards where people just have their characters "mutter" spells because they don't have canon spells for everything we roleplay ^.^

Perhaps as a documentation?

Hmm, I could put it up on this site. Only problem is I don't know where. I'm thinking of either of the RP Showcase or the Administrator/Member Documentations (but this, I don't know for which one)

I'd also say Member Documentations. I wouldn't worry about it as much as you have, either. I make up spells right on the spot when I'm RPing, if I want a particular effect. Heck, I even read in an essay that Hermione herself made up spells in the book!

If you are really worried about it, just ask in the Cbox of a board you're interested in whether they would accept you using/posting a list of original spells you made up. I'm sure most would say yes.

Hopefully these spells are saved. ;) Because that would truly be a pity if they weren't.

At any rate, I hope you just move on to a new board. Don't bother waiting for this other girl's board to start up . . . do you really want to join another site with her in the driver's seat?

I wouldn't think of it as time wasted... and as has been said before, I'm sure there's a board around that will take you, spells and all.

There are a few admins that don't like anything that isn't canon, but seriously - I dont' see what is wrong with a few spells, especially as most players will make them up as they go, and if you submit them to the admin before hand, they know what's going on.

Boards shut down for a variety of reasons, which is rough, cause I always get way too attached to my favourite RPs...

It's actually not too original. Or, well, it is, but it would not surprise if she really did make up spells. She's intelligent and, a stated over and over again in the books 'the brightest witch of her age'. I could see how she could make spells. Just move on to a new board. Most people will probably think it interesting and fun that you did make up these spells with your version of Hermione.
