I'm starting a Dead Like Me board with one of my friends. It should be open relatively soon, but there's a lot of work to be done still before we officially open. Here's the problem: I'm looking for a skilled roleplayer to play the head reaper. This won't be a staff position (otherwise I'd make the character myself) because we don't want to be one of those sites where the admin take all the canons and then have the roleplay revolving around us. We just need a skilled roleplayer who's familiar with the show to do it, because we'll need this character right away.

Where can I put this request, since it isn't really for a job?

This is exactly where the Auditions forum RyanA suggested would come in. At the moment I can't suggest anywhere that would suit, but maybe RP Talk? Or Managing your RP? You wouldn't be allowed to post a link but maybe you could see who's interested and PM them a link. And if you got in trouble you could say I suggested it.

Or if it's not really urgent right now the staff could talk about this Auditions area and see if we could implement it soon.

Your third choice is to wait until one of the more informed staff replied here XD

Well, if we're going to be the administrations and we get to boss them around and make the site prettyful, it seems only fair. I thought about putting it in Roleplay Talk, but thought it would come across too much as advertising and since the site is almost empty now that's the last thing I want to do xD

You know what, this is the perfect way to start out with the new forum. I´m not sure on what kinda bases you want to open the site. But if you can wait two more days (until sunday, or maybe saturday evening, but not promising anything on that), you might be able to be the first one to make use of the forum and to set the right example for all the other members on how to use that forum. Because this is exactly what it will be used for.
