Title: [S] Forum Soundtrack
Squirrelsy - February 22, 2008 01:44 AM (GMT)
Heya, I'm looking to make a soundtrack for my forum. Does anyone have any suggestions to what I should use? Whether it be a free site or a way to actually take your MP3s and somehow make a list that's playable on the site?
Thanks in advance~

You could use,
project playlistits free, and you just have to find the tracks from there search browser and then you have one
I'm not sure if this is what you mean but if you have the url to a music code just put it in this
QUOTE
<embed src="URL LINK HERE" autostart="no" loop="no" height="20" width="100"></embed>
although thats just for ONE song

Hmn. Okay. Well, here's another question. I saw this done on a forum - can't remember the name of it for the life of me but I do know it was about the Yakuza - where they had a sound track listed on the side. Ya click the picture and it showed that project playlist on its own page, by itself, to play.
Is there any way I can do that to? D:

Um...I'm guessing they just linked to the playlist itself.
You'd just have to make sure the link was targeted to a new page (or tab).
So...
CODE
<a href="http://LINK TO PLAYLIST" target="_blank">TEXT OR IMAGE HERE</a>

I’m not sure if you still need the answer to this question because it’s been such a long time since you posted it. But if it doesn’t help you out maybe it will help someone else. I wanted the exact same thing on Junkland, to have a soundtrack image (that matched the board) then members be able to click on it and the playlist to pop up on a new page and they be able to listen.
Project playlist (awesome site, I use it simply for the fact that my bandwidth isn’t being ate alive by mp3 downloads and songs are already uploaded so you don’t have to) gives you the code once you’ve created your playlist and when you use it, you are sent to a whole new page with the player in the top left hand corner. Cool but I didn’t want a whole page more like a stand alone player so that way I could pair it with a soundtrack image. That way it looks nicer or at least it does in my opinion.
You get a rather large code but all you have to do is skin it down to something very small then link it to your soundtrack image, stick it in your side bar and your good to go. When you click on it out pops a standalone player and you’re still able to see the board. All you need is the link of your standalone player that’s buried within that code and you are done.
(my final code)
CODE
<div class='tablepad'><span class='desc'><center><b><a href=http://www.greatprofilemusic.com/standalone/27687948 target=_blank><img src="http://premium.fileden.com/premium/2006/6/19/78065/Junklandsoundtrack1.png"></ a>
This only works with PP but it’s an awesome site and it on my opinion got what I wanted done. So hopefully it helps out whoever else wants to do something along those lines.

There is always
My Flash Fetish which is also a playlist site. :) It has many styles ranging from big to small, and it tells you which songs once you put in the URL, are valid or not. The different styles really fit for what you want, and you can change the color to anything you want, which the looks is probably the best part about it besides the music. There is also a search, but many of the songs are broken so you need to listen to them all. Like project playlist, it has a large code, but it does not have a standalone player so if you want one, project playlist is probably what you want as Aly said. I personally use both My Flash Fetish and Project Playlist and I like them both. :)
