I haven't been there either. a) dial up, b) i'm not about to share myself, c) i don't care what anyone else looks like (i don't mean that in a way as mean as it sounds).

But, yes, that is creepy. And since this is a public forum (meaning non-members can view it) .. then, well, you can imagine that there is probably some pervert out there taking a peek at our younger members.

Oh, I'm not going to say that I don't go there, because I do. I don't put pictures of myself up, but sometimes it helps me keep everyone straight in my mind if I have some sort of visual representation. Such as when people change their avatars, I get totally confused and I run around in circles for awhile until I figure out who is who again.

So I have a theory. 1) It's a pinned thread. 2) How often do you need to look at the rules? Once, maybe twice. Unlike a thread which is updated fairly constantly. Thus, it's going to naturally get more pageviews.

Buuuuut it's still a little weird. I challenge people to find a single thread on RPG-D that has more pageviews than the pic thread. :/

This is true, and rules are easy, generally it's all common sense, plus a few extra things pertinent to that particular forum.

But yes, I get confused for a bit when people change their avatars, but mostly I tell everyone apart by their sig's if not their names. Or I just don't pay attention anyway, so it's almost like I read everyone as a new person each time. heh

Haha. I ran into the same thing when Sunday changed her avie. I was like doesn't she have that twirling man and then the duh moment. Funny enough, I didn't have that problem when Emma changed her set.

Hm. I think I must be the only person who associates people by their username and not their graphics. Half the time I don't even notice graphics. However, if you all started changing your usernames I'd be in trouble....

I actually love the picture thread, which does sound creepy, but it's interesting!

I read the rules twice (once when I joined and once when I noticed a rule being enforced that I forgot existed), but I've gone to the pic thread multiple times whenever I see it in the Active Topics list. I posted my pic only because I find it really interesting to see what people look like and though it was only fair. Not only do you find out genders, which can get kind of tricky around here sometimes, but you find out other random things like who has cute little babies running around ^.^

I'm not sure if I've ever been to the Post Yourself thread. I may have put my picture up, but I'm not sure. I'm not interested in it. I work most people's gender out through posts and otherwise I get it wrong and people correct me.

EDIT: Wow you thought ShinLi was a guy, Darth Makar? That's so weird! I've always known she is a girl (and she's so pretty!). It's you everyone always thinks is a guy, because of your name. I think ShinLi thought you were a guy ^_^
