Okay, I know this is not rp-related, but I really, REALLY need to vent right now. If I don't, I'm going to end up taking it out on somebody, and regret it later.

Kay, so I'm sitting in my ITV algebra class (basically, we watch a TV where a teacher is teaching the class from another location, and it's like a normal class, only there are four or five other campuses involved), and well, our teacher is a little blonde. I really like the way she teaches though, I feel I'm understanding it better than I did in my last class.

ANYWAY, there's this full back row of kids that do nothing but talk and piss around. All I hear, for a full hour, is:

"I don't get it."
"We should just go up and turn off the tv."
"She's so stupid."
"God, I hate this class."

Okay, first of all, if you don't get it, why aren't you asking questions?! Other campuses ask plenty of questions, and you make fun of them behind their backs for doing it, and yet you still complain about not knowing what's going on! READ THE EFFING BOOK, IT'S NOT HARD. FOR GOD'S SAKE, IT'S ALGEBRA.

Secondly, I think it's a bit rude to turn off the TV when this woman is trying to teach us something. (Though, it'd be nice to turn you people on mute for a while...)

Thirdly, she's taken alot more schooling than any of you, so she obviously knows what she is talking about. Give her a break, she's had a bad week. Nobody's perfect.

Fourthly... if you hate the class, drop it. It's simple. Why take a class (AND pay for it) if you don't like it? If it's something that you have to take for a degree, SUCK IT UP and come to class! It's ONE hour out of your day! Really.

-breathes- And finally... stop ruining for the rest of us. If I fail this class because all I hear is you people muttering behind me, you are paying for me to take it again. Because I REFUSE to pay to take it again BECAUSE YOU WON'T SHUT UP. I have to pass all of my classes this semester if I want to graduate, and I'll personally mail you all my bill so you can pay for me to take it again if I fail.

Ugh... I've seriously considered just turning around and saying "Hey, guys? I'd like to pass this class this semester, because I can't afford to retake it. So if you want to continue your conversation after class is over, I'd be incredibly grateful. Thanks." But then I know I'll just be ridiculed for the rest of the semester. -_-

I'm restraining myself from personally yelling at these people. Because really, they deserve it.

Not like I'm advocating violence, but maybe a nice fist to the face will get them to be quiet. ;) Ah, perhaps not.

At any rate, I've never seen a class like this before? Is it college? How does the teacher know if you're asking questions?

But I have been with my fair share of stupid people. People like that make me go home and give my doggies an extra hug.

That sucks. I'd report it to the administration or the math department, and maybe they will start sending in a TA or something.

Darth Makar: Violence sounds like a good idea. ;) Yeah, I'm in college. I should've mentioned that... But there are mikes all over the room, and the camera speed is fast enough, where we can hold decent conversations from different campuses. It's convenient, but without the teacher there, it's easy to do about anything without her really knowing. All she sees on her screen is a 12" by 8" image of our whole class room.

Roswenth: I've been considering just talking to my teacher about why my grades have been slipping, and maybe something will happen. We'll see. I'll have to keep you folks updated.
