Okay I looked around and didn’t see a rant about this. I know this isn’t RP related, but it is something that is driving me nuts.

I live in a major city. With major traffic, rated the 2nd worst in the US, no parking and gas prices that make you want to think twice about driving. So why is it people still have these huge HMV’s? Or any other completely ridiculous SUV or vehicle that eats gas and takes up 2 lanes? You know I would get it if you lived on a farm and needed a truck. Or you lived in a place where it snowed more then a handful of times and wanted something to handle the ice. But here where you car doesn’t even fit on the street? It’s not only bad for the environment but silly.

Today some guy decided that it was okay to take up a portion of my lane. I guess he thought my TDI Jetta was just a toy car or something. And to make matters worse he sat there talking on his phone and drinking coffee! AHHHHHH. I wanted a cop to pull him over since it is illegal to talk on a phone and drive.

Anyway, sorry about this, I know everyone has a right to the car they want. But still this makes me sick. In other places in the world people would never think about having a huge waste of space car. But for some reason we have this mindset.

Well at least I get 48 miles to the gallon, so I can be a happy driver. Even if I have to share with some ugly yellow tank.

My car horn and I are the best of friends. I drive a tiny Dodge Stratus, and while it's mileage to the gallon is EXCELLENT, I still get people in Hummers that think my little baby is a joke.

Until I show them just how much I'm joking. I honk and bitch and have a slight case of road rage. And in my town, the people with SUVs are young women - who park in the underclassman lots. Some girl in an SUV cut me off one time, I honked at her, and terrified her so much that she pretty much darted into a parking lot out of fear.

BEEP! BEEEEEEEEP!

I so beep. I beep, I make 'I'm disgusted with you right now' faces, too. Don't be afraid to be a bit sassy in your little car. So long as you're not going about it dangerously (and hey, a horn is meant to be used in such situations as yours, to tell them you're there) then don't stand for that kind of crap on the road, especially not when they put you in a potentially dangerous situation.

Because I don't have my own car, I drive the family car, which is a Toyota Camry Wagon. It was the second biggest car when it was made. So it's pretty big. I love it heaps. When I'm out driving by myself and I come across all these boyracers in their fancy cars revving them it's so fun to be able to take off and beat them out of intersections and cut them off XD

But, once I get my own car I'm going to get a tiny one. Hopefully a mini!
