Hi folks. I'm an avid creative writer and RPer and me and some of my closest peers have come across an individual who (we have discovered through networking) has a VERY long history of stealing original content from boards, entire storylines/plots, entire character bios, and even entire forums (word for word)
My question is this:
I'd like to spread the word so that others might protect their creations from this individual - with that said, how can I do so? Is it allowed to share IP addresses and email addresses so that other admins can ban this person and prevent them from ever coming to their board?
Does RPG-D do anything special to protect all its allied boards from such individuals?
Thanks!
Hmm. It's not really allowed to post other people's e-mail or IP addresses. It's considered "personal information" according to the IF guidelines. The only thing we can really do from here is ban them from RPG-D, but unless they've done something to our members and they brought it to our attention, we wouldn't do that.
That being said. If you have screen shots and other evidence of their stealing, you can report it to IF and they may ban them from all of Inivisonfree.
