The Obsidian Trilogy was written by Mercedes Lackey and James Mallory. It consists of three books; The Outstretched Shadow, To Light a Candle, and When Darkness Falls.
I just finished the last book a couple days ago. I was sad it was over. But now I keep itching to start a game based on it, and continue to shoot myself down.
I'm also sad I gave the first book to the library, now I want it back, so I can hoard the trilogy. But I won't, I'll give them the rest of the books. I'm just too nice for my own good (and don't really have room for them anyway).
So anyone else?
I've never even heard of it.
OMG! It's the best ever. I demand you all go read it... now. ^_^
Er, it is one of those... how to explain it... or of a D&D kind of book, but not D&D. There were people, they went out and did things, and there was magic. Also, to me, it seemed a trilogy that would be easy for male or female readers to enjoy.
