Title: Chatbox

Have you guys ever thought of getting a chatbox? I think it would be beneficial to the RPG-D community.

In truth, I really don't agree. Over at places like Pandora's Closet for example, there are a ton of people on and only a handful post in the chat-box and normally it's just comments like "Ohh, nice new sig," or "Thanks for the tutorial!" Things that could easily be posted in the topic where it was posted and isn't really needed within a chat-box. Also, I'd rather have those kind of comments be permanent, with the chat-box, comments would disappear within an hour at most and nobody would ever see them again. I think that posting on the forums would be much more beneficial than adding a chat-box.

The biggest reason why we donīt have a cbox is because it compromises a board security. When you have a cbox it becomes easier for hackers to get into a forum. And I rather make it hard to hackers/crackers to hack RPG-D XD. And the above reasons count too. I'm just not a fan of c-boxes, and I don't think a lot of our staff are fans of c-boxes to be honest.

I was kind of wondering that too.
Good thing it was answered. :)

Really it makes it easier to hack a board if it has a c-box? Dude, thats not even cool. I just might re-think that whole deal, lol. This was a very revealing thread. Thanks a ton!
