Title: [S] Minus Number Of Posts
Description: Help?

Fireflies - November 29, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
One of my members tried to post a reply in one thread that I had started. She mentioned to me that she didn't think that her post was showing up, even though she was sure that she had posted. I sifted through the permissions and everything that concerned that particular forum only to find nothing wrong. When I went to the thread that she had replied to, I realized that all of her replies went through. I figured it was just a glitch or something.
I looked back at it and another member had replied to it. Once again it didn't show up at all.

I happened to notice that the number of posts, (the overall that is shows on the main site where it shows the number of topics and then the number of posts), shows -2.

Here is a screenshot to show you what I mean: click

Is there a reason why it's doing that? Or a way I can reverse it?
As far as I know it hasn't happened anywhere else, but since it is happening to the Rules and Guidelines section of the site, I'd rather it not be there at all.

Sorry if this has been asked before. I kind of browsed through the Solved Support but didn't really find anything.

Whoa, that's a new one! o.O

I would have to advise going with an Invisionfree Support Ticket for this one. That's just... wonky. If you don't already know what the ticket is, it's in Admin CP -> Invisionfree Network -> Support Ticket. Someone from Invisionfree will help you out with the bug.

Good luck!

I was hoping that someone had an easier way then that. Typical to me for getting the weird things always. >.<

I'll still hold out hope, but I'll go and fill out a support ticket too.

Thank you.

Well I dunno about the glitch, but the -2 posts is easily fixed. Go to your acp and go to manage forums. There you have a small sort of blue recycle button besides all the forum names, next to a triangle exclamation mark thingy (that's for adding a line of rules to a specific forum). Click on the blue recycle button and it will recount your topics/posts and the number on the main index page will change too to the right number.

Yeah, do the above, and then go ahead and still report it to IF as a bug.

I didn't even know that that was what it was for.

I did hit it, and it says I now have zero posts there, I'll survive with that though. So long as it doesn't count backwards again.
I did send in a support ticket last night, still don't have a reply though, but I can be patient.
Thanks for all the help.

Your topic has been solved and moved to the 'Solved Support Topics' forum! Still have a question, or something isn't clear yet? PM an admin, gmod or cmod, and it will be moved back to the Support Center.
