On most forums like RPG-D, general chat forums etc you mostly have a special username, at least I do. You can guess which on that is :P:

So, usernames? What fun is to talk about that? Well, I think it's very interesting. Do you pick the same username on each forum, or do you always register with different usernames if you come across a new forum? And how long do you already use your username (if you use the same)? And how did you thought it up? Does it has a meaning, or is it just randomness?

Well, I'm Jonathan on most of the forums. But I'm JC99 on IFSZ and shadow_99style on Invisionfree Forums. Haha.

At first, I was known a veelaprincess72017 on everything: HPFF, The Dark Arts...the list goes on and on. A little while ago I started watching this show called Angelic Layer and I fell in love with it! :wub: Well, that's the story.

I used to be senshisun2001. I picked it back in my Sailor Moon obsession days and I like it cuz it rhymes. When I wanted something new, I wanted something along the lines of Night Rain, except it was taken on the place I was signing up on, so I just fiddled with the words a bit. Persoanlly, I think Shadow of the Rain is cooler anyways. ^_^

For the most part I just stick with that one, though sometimes I'll still use senshisun2001 and very rarely I'll use forest_faerie.

I'm Magnetism on all General ones and forums like this one, just because it was a nckname that stuck with me from a few years back given to me by some friends.

On actual Rp ones I'm known as Adam Knight as i think it's easier to get my charcter sorted if I have him more or less the same everywhere I go.

Well, my username originated in GameFAQs. My last username I picked out was really bad, so I decided to make a change. I was really interested in fire (not pyromania), and my favorite color is blue. So, I came up with Blue Flame. I deemed it not cool enough, so I changed the "Blue" to "Sapphire". I've used the name for every forum ever since. And I go to a lot of forums, trust me. I think I've used it for about a year, maybe a year and a half.

For most forums like this one, I'm Villy or some variation of it, like Villypoo, Villykins, Villyness, or, like this one, Villylicious. Villy came from one of my friends on neopets because my name on there was x__vanilla_coke__x and it was far too long to continue typing out. She had been calling me Vanilla, but then decided Villy was cooler. I like it, too. =P

Usually i post everywhere, and join everywhere as 'Shortswtn2thepnt' that is my AIM s/n and my e-mail so it just makes sense to join everywhere with that username. It's just one less thing for me to have to remember for each forum. But now, i tend to use some form of "Melly" just because I've now grown used to that.

Damn you Dubs, now i have to try about 50 million different usernames when I have to re-log in to some website!

I always am ginny_harry1. I'm not sure why, exactly. I just picked it a few years ago and I found that when I try something different, I forget the name. So, I stick with my totally random ginny_harry1. ^_^

I always use some variation of my name.

Alexa-Lynn, Alexa, lexie-lynn, alexers, lynn-lynn, alynn, the list goes on and on.

This time I wanted to go short, so I just picked Lex.

Before I use to go around everywhere as Blitz18 cause I always liked blitzing in football and I couldnt wait to be 18, unlike now where i cant wait to be 100. Then I sorta got obessed over the seven deadly sins, so I started joining places as Envy soon that became Envious, now a days I find myself switching between BeyondEnvious and just Envious.

Well on PC, the Dark Arts and ER i'm Scarlett (that being my name :)) but that name was already taken here <_< la-harlequin is the username i have on Deviant Art and LJ (although i've never really used either account that much, I plan to in the future). Basically the Harlequin part came from the commedia character arlechino (also known as harlequin). He's a trickster, general nuisance etc. La just came in because i like french (10 years of learning it :))

The first username I ever had was "ginfan", wich mean I was a fan of "Gin" from an anime. XD It was really ugly and I hate it. Many people thought I was a guy when I had that name also. XD
But when I decided to register on another forum I decided to get a new username, and I came up with "GinGirl", wich I actually like. ^^'
Another username I have on some few forums is "Faust VIII", and that's a character from a manga called "Shaman King". :happy:

I always use Celestial Dragon, celestial_dragon88, celestial_dragon111888, celestialdragon111888, dragon_sorceress88 and Celestial_Dragon.

The reasoning for this is because I was born in the year of the dragon, hence the dragon reference in just about all of them, and the year of the dragon is titled "The Celestial Dragon". So can you guess. The numbers represent my birthday mainly, it's quite easy to remember. lol The "sorceress" part I got from my love of fantasy.

I use different ones depending on what I feel like. Once I actually went with "Kitty Kat" as a username, mainly because it was what my cousin use to call me because I grew, and still grow, my nails out long like a kitty.

I'm 4.9 on most forums.

I'm Ishy on most forums that don't require RP names. It's short for Michelle. Sometimes I use Vayl, which is one of my RP names. A lot of times I like to make completely unique characters, then I usually use the name generators on Seventh Sanctum.

Roswenth Peacedragon is my character on my forum. She's a crown princess. Roswenth is a gaelic name that I saw on a baby names list and liked. My first character with that name was an undead cleric on WoW.... ;lol;

Usually I'm mysticsea in most places, sometimes whitewavesprite or something else along those lines. It's always something ocean-y, though, because it's what I'm most comfortable with and easy to remember. Gets boring though, I do admit...but most usernames you go for are taken anyways so..what're ya gonna do?

On the Dark Arts and Pandora's closet, I'm SweetLittleGossipGirl. That name came from my good friend. She was reading one of my stories, and one of the main characters happened to be a gossip queen. She told me that she liked "that sweet little gossip girl" the best. I thought the name was clever, so I used it.

But, I usually like to use different names. forsaken ;; just came from my stuipid wierdness. I've always spelled it wrong, and the day I signed up here I learned how to spell it right... So, since I like the word forsaken, I used it. And I just added the semi-colons for fun. ^_^

Hrm well I've been Horsecrzy721 on just about everything. Its been my aim name for years and its nice and easy to remember. Also I love horses and the 7-21 represents my b-day! *Coming soon YAY!* So yea, its just about always been that way. For RP forums it takes me ages to find a name that I like. I go through lists upon lists of names and narrow it down slowly, sometimes it can take me more than a day! So yea, I usually use my horsey!

I don't go by anything other than Squirt. LOL such variety.

I'm usually always CherryKiss or Rachey. A few times I've gone by .Rachel, Panic_Prone, and Cherry. Rachey was the first username I ever used, which is my nickname. XD I went from that to CherryKiss, which is a long story as to how I came up with that one. XDDD

Most of the time I am either Latios1717, SirCadogan, and sometimes on online games I am Valor13. A few times I Pick Lucario. The reason for SirCadogan is because I did a few HP discussion/RPG forums... I used to have one but it died miserably...

I just like the way "Insomnium" sounds even though it means nightmare. I also use Rainsparrow a lot, which is the last name of a family in a story that I started years ago.

I use copper for everything excpet roleplay forums, where I use the characters name (Can range from Lucy, to Samson, to Silverwing, to Mage and a whole lot of other names too)

Copper comees from Coppertail, the name of the first roleplay character that i remember (I had one before her, a wolf, but can't I remember the name). After retiring her, I lost the "tail" and just go by "Copper". I'm also Random Camels on Scott Adams blog, and Copper Yeti on Museblog.

I use Wiflewood, or just Wifle, on pretty much every forum.

It comes from a time in a PE lesson, when we were wearing 'MITRE' brand bibs. The logo was across the front, and so when you looked down on it, it came out like this:



And so Wifle was born. I added 'wood' to make it a bit longer, but recently I've just been using 'Wifle'.

I usually register on most boards as Karah because that's my name and sometimes I register as KarahBella. On IFSZ I'm Karah and on the IF suporrt board I'm Karah. I guess it just depends on my mood and how long I want my username to be at the time I register.

It depends, normally I can think of a brand new personality in less than 2 minutes. On sites like this, I just use my first name and some word.

Alright, well basically, my username originated from the show Inu Yasha. At first it did anyway.

Sesshoumaura, or however you spell his name, is called Fluffy a lot, so it was slightly based off that because the first board I joined had Fluffy taken so I made it Fluffiness. Then, my favourite animal is a sheep, and everyone says i'm a lot like a sheep 'cause i'm "cuddly". Anyway, sheep are fluffy, and again, Fluffy was taken, so it became Fluffiness.

My user name was created when I was GM-ing a game of mine in school with a friend and after a while, it stuck.

Well when I first started writing HP fanfics I used A. Aandegora. I still don't know what the first A stood for and Andegora was just a made up name I particularly liked. I wanted something different I guess. So from then on (about 4 years) I used Andegora (the offspring) at about all the HP-oriented places I joined (HPFF.com, TDA, etc.). Now I use that name for graphics still and all of that fic stuff. It's probably my favorite screenname xD.

photine I picked for my LJ and it sort of stuck since since then, its derived from a Greek word meaning something like "light" and I guess I was going for hopeful and new start so I went with that :P.

I use my real name (Jessica)...also I use Tainted Rose, Tainted-Rose, TaintedRose, TaintedRose214, etc. I change it if it's not available.

Well, I used to be strength on everything (once was strengthfairy937), but then on this site I'm Supermans.Lover and on fanfic.net I'm Supermans ll Lover, because it's a dream of mine. :P

Well on this site I used the username Jay Serge, don't know why but it is a roleplay character I have played for year's. Most of the time I just use the user name Abnormal or Abnormal-Child because its a lot different than most username's, how often do you come across somethign like that and it is true, I'm a bit Abnormal :)

my username is drendoynk... it's just a nickname someone came up with for me in high school. It's completely original so on every forum or pretty much anything I have to join... drendoynk or drendo is always me

Umm. Most forums I have a character name -- like Blake Devereux or Michael Carwin. Those are only character names, though. I was just like 'Okay, something simple that I can remember' so I just picked Blake.

Plus, it's an awesome name :P

I tend to go by two (three, if you count using a single part of one name at times) default screennames to go by. The one I use here is the youngest screenname that I have that is taken from a character I wrote about in a story called The Scribe Scrolls. Since I have come to doubt I'll ever pick the story up again, I stole the last name of the central character because I liked the sound of it.

The other one that counts as either one or two is Tobias Timace Timepiece, the full name of the first character I ever created. The middle name is often used in newer places since the character lost Tobias and Timepiece after it evolved beyond mirroring an ideal. Either way, that's the not so hidden origin of my most common names.
