Title: Pink For October
Description: RPG-D supports Breast Cancer Awareness

ShinLi - October 10, 2007 09:48 AM (GMT)
Well I think you´ve noticed right away we´ve changed colour! We went to a pink theme, pink for october. We as staff have dediced to do this in view of Breast Cancer Awareness, where the month october stands for worldwide.

The staff and I think breast cancer awareness is something very important. As this type of cancer is the most common cancer amongst women, people have to become aware of this, in order to prevent numbers from rising to die of breast cancer.

Here are a few links about breast cancer awareness:

i replied in the other thread but im bored so im going to reply in this one too and say it looks very nice and i support your decision. breast cancer would be scary and i hope i never get it. i also hope my boyfriend doesnt and i want to remind people that males get breast cancer too. it is not very common but it happens and they need support as well as females.

-hugs to everyone-

WOO!!

ANYWAY!
i think that it's a really good idea, and i absolutely LOVE (with a capital P[ink]) the new skin.
P!NK!

bloodless soul - October 10, 2007 11:43 AM (GMT)
Pink is never a bad color for anything. Especially in this case.

Darth Makar - October 10, 2007 01:58 PM (GMT)
I like the change. Subtle, but tasteful.

(Though you still have the red 'admin' banner, and some still have the blue staff banners from before the red board.)

Silver Wolf - October 10, 2007 02:57 PM (GMT)
Although I agree with the horrid colour choise, I think it's a great idea. It's not Shin Li that chose it, right? ;)

ShinLi - October 10, 2007 04:41 PM (GMT)
Did I choose pink? Well it's more obvious we support breast cancer awareness with the pink colour then the red one, the change is a bit more obvious so it immediatly catches people's attention ^^. But it was my idea XD

Manowar3 - October 10, 2007 04:42 PM (GMT)
Nice new skin, but it'd be lovely even if it was a dark teal, after all it's the thought that counts.

Horsecrzy721 - October 10, 2007 07:53 PM (GMT)
Ohh, it looks so awesome ShinLi! I looove the banner, you did such an awesome job =]

As I said before, I loved the idea when you proposed it!

Shade Steelbone - October 10, 2007 08:50 PM (GMT)
Pink is definitely for this case right now its very cool and I do like the banner as well very good :3

Brandon - October 10, 2007 09:27 PM (GMT)
I think this is an excellent idea, and have also added a little pink to my site in honor of this cause.

killermari - October 10, 2007 10:03 PM (GMT)
i don't actually like pink, as a general colour, all that much. but for this cause i can see past the funny-looking colour (let's face it, it does look slightly weird ... the colour, i mean) and see the skin as a whole.
and overall i think it's wonderful. ^^

Demon Child - October 11, 2007 06:33 PM (GMT)
This is a very thoughtful idea.
^-^
Nice job, spread the word.

Mir - October 12, 2007 12:09 AM (GMT)
Looks nice, good job, ShinLi. Breast Cancer Awareness is a serious matter, and supporting it is a very admirable decision. :)

That Other Gal - October 12, 2007 02:23 AM (GMT)
Aww, I really like this and it's great that it's for breast cancer. But it should be for longer than just October!

Indigo - October 12, 2007 11:46 AM (GMT)
Such a great idea. I'm always so glad to see so much support in the fight against breast cancer.

Sunday - October 12, 2007 07:08 PM (GMT)
That's so awesome of you all to show such support. My aunt beat breast cancer through having a mastectomy, so it's really great to see you all spreading awareness. =] RPG-D just rocks. <3

I just wanted to say this is really awesome. A close friend of mine lost her mother, which was hard in so many ways since she was not only one of my closest friends btu I was close to her mom too.

http://www.thedarkersideofpink.org/index.html

she was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer since it was inflammatory. That has a bunch of information there too abut that particular cancer.

rose1821 - October 13, 2007 07:12 AM (GMT)
Very good idea.If anyone wants to help support Breast Cancer.Ford is also supporting Breast Cancer with Kelly Clarkson. Fordcares.com

Kira - October 13, 2007 01:03 PM (GMT)
This is very nice, I support this initiative wholly.

kirkypurple - October 14, 2007 03:35 PM (GMT)

DLR - October 14, 2007 11:43 PM (GMT)
Excellennnnt. I helped train my mom for the Race For Life this year, wish raised a good hundred pounds for Cancer Research!, so I totally back you. -claps for RPG=D-

Mitch - October 19, 2007 08:20 PM (GMT)
the skin looks great and for such a good cause, love it!

kimmeth - October 21, 2007 09:11 PM (GMT)
Hey all. I think this is really great. I love the Pink theme and I love it even more that all the members are really supportive of this cause. Breast Cancer Awareness is something I hold dearly because someone VERY close to me was diagnosed: my mom. She's alright now! She went through chemo and a mastectomy (pardon my spelling) and so far, she's doing pretty well. She's been cancer free for about 2 years, I believe. This is really awesome, everyone. I <3 RPG-D even more. ^^

ShinLi - October 21, 2007 09:20 PM (GMT)
That's very good to hear kimmeth ^^. That is what breast cancer awareness can do, decrease the risk factor of finding breast cancer in a too late stadium to get it removed! I'm glad it all turned out well for your mom.

kimmeth - October 21, 2007 09:24 PM (GMT)
    Thanks, dear. <333

I'm really happy that people are paying attention now instead of waiting for it to happen to them! All the things we are doing now, on the site and others, will really make people more aware of what Breast Cancer is, how it can change people and affect their lives. Thanks a bunch again!

LittleBookworm - October 22, 2007 01:11 PM (GMT)
Wow, this was a great idea. Many of us are helping to support woman with Breast Cancer, myself and my family included. :)

Karicide - October 29, 2007 08:54 PM (GMT)
This is very thoughtful (even though I'm kinda late on it). I really like it. ^_^

dropdead.GORGEOUS - November 13, 2007 06:35 PM (GMT)
I think it's wonderful that you're supporting breat cancer awareness. Cancer has taken many lives, and people who haven't experienced should understand and attempt to help.]
