I saw this on another site. How to do this thing: "read the poem above you, and respond with a couple lines of verse of your own, in your own style. Preferably more than four lines. It doesn't have to be a complete poem [and maybe shouldn't be] and it doesn't have to [and maybe shouldn't] continue the poem above it. Just read, react, maybe pose some questions. See if you can find inspiration.
Anybody who writes poetry - or wants to give it a shot for a couple lines - is encouraged to try. If it looks like two people are having a 'conversation' then don't be afraid to but in. If you want to respond to a poem that has already been responded to, then just quote it.
And so...."
Is it hate or is it love?
Do we know when love comes?
Do we know when the right woman,
or man, if I must,
comes along?
Let loose the white dove,
so that he becomes
our sight for the perfect woman or man,
through love and not lust.
//Let us sing our sad duet.
//Whisper thus,
//If you must.
//"What is love?"
