Title: [S] Affliates bar
Description: Invision Free Board need help

Celtic_WarrioressAS - May 27, 2006 10:24 PM (GMT)
Anyways....I am creating a Roleplay Board...and well at some point I'm going to want affliates and if i advertise it on here...Somewhere to put the graphics...Now I have looked on a few very confusing websites about Invision free forum about it and have found nooooooooo (and I mean no) help at all apart from people actually looking for affilates.

So if someone who has experince in this area with an invision free board...thx help would be apprciated... possibly also if there is anyway of making it scroll across as well.....

...I like my use of the three dots by the way.... :yes: :D B: :dead:

Ok well there are a ton of different affilates bars out there. There is the one like we have here at RPG-D, there are ones that just go in the footer and have your button displayed for those who would like to affilate and then there are just ones that have the affialtes. Perhaps if you found an example for us on another site that you particularly like or just a better description, I can find it for you.

It's the place to put the affliate graphics (just in case i ddin't make that clear) umm what i'm after is a scrolling one like here on Rpg directory spet most likely longer...

* the one in the corner all the time. o.O It's stalking me

Here is a a scrolling Affiliates box simular to the one there on RPG Directory:

QUOTE

<table align="center" border="0" width="90%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" class="tableborder"><tr><td>
<table cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%">
<tr><td width="70%" valign="middle" class="row4"

<Marquee onmouseover=this.scrollAmount=1 onmouseout=this.scrollAmount=4 scrollAmount=4>

<a target="_blank" href=AFFILIATE 1 URL> </a><img alt="" src=AFFILIATE 1 IMG URL width="88" height="31">
<a target="_blank" href=AFFILIATE 2 URL> </a><img alt="" src=AFFILIATE 2 IMG URL width="88" height="31">
<a target="_blank" href=AFFILIATE 3 URL> </a><img alt="" src=AFFILIATE 3 IMG URL width="88" height="31">
<a target="_blank" href=AFFILIATE 4 URL> </a><img alt="" src=AFFILIATE 4 IMG URL width="88" height="31">
<a target="_blank" href=AFFILIATE 5 URL> </a><img alt="" src=AFFILIATE 5 IMG URL width="88" height="31">

</marquee>

</td></tr></table></td></tr></table>

Replace the red with the board's location.
e.g. http://rpg-directory.com/index.php

Replace the blue with the image's location.
e.g. http://www.img.photobucket.com/albums/v231...MiniBanner2.gif

To add more affiliates just add this line in:
QUOTE

<a target="_blank" href=AFFILIATE URL> </a><img alt="" src=AFFILIATE IMG URL width="88" height="31">

Servers can crash, it happens, and there is really nothing much to do then simply waiting. So please, don't go to off-topic in here.

Further information I can give you about coding is that you simply can find everything on Invisionfree Skin Zone. If you have a look through their codes, you will easily find serveral codes for affiliates bars. Also they have everything else you need to know or need to use for your board.
