Title: I Write Plots!

MarietheMouse - September 20, 2007 02:31 AM (GMT)
Your Name: Marie

Your Age: 19

Offered Position: Plot Writer (for RPGs that want to re-do their plots or for RPGs that are just starting out and need a plot)

Experience: I’ve only been RPing 2 years, but I’ve been writing stories ever since I first learned how to write. ^^

Custom Notes Don't count me in as a member, because I probably won't join any of the sites that I'll write these things for. D=

Okay, so yeah…I did this one plot for Sicaluff:

http://rpg-directory.com/index.php?showtopic=9829

And, now I’m on a writing fix. XD So, I’d be happy to write up the plots for some peoples’ websites. Just give me a slight description of your site and in which direction you want me to go, and I’d be happy to write up a plot for you. ^^

NOTE: I can only take 5 requests.

srsly_sirius - September 20, 2007 02:42 AM (GMT)

Okay, srsly_sirius. I'm done. ^^

They say that the best years of one’s life are the teenage years. This is definitely true for the students of Hogwart’s school of witchcraft and wizardry. It's the prominent trio's 6th year, and they're ready for anything! Hogwarts awaits and so do all the students who are getting ready to attend.

Harry, Hermione, and Ron are still the Golden Trio; they have been best friends ever since their first year at the enchanted school.

The houses are still the same.
The teachers are still the same.
And, the people are still the same.

But, wait! There's just one little catch:
Voldemort, as we know him, never existed!
Tom Riddle never became the Dark Lord and never went after the Potter's. Harry's parents are still alive and well. There are no death eaters, and Harry doesn't have a scar.

The gang is still around, but they're just regular teenagers without the worry of Voldemort on their shoulders.

One would think that they’d live a relatively uneventful life. Ponder the subject for a moment, if you will. They don’t have to worry about uncovering the eventful dark past of Hogwarts and the Dark Lord’s legacy. Harry would not be troubled by people idolizing him for being ‘the boy who lived’ and undergo the pains of his scar (as he is without it; he cannot speak the language of the snakes), the three friends would not have to worry about the horrible deaths of loved ones who had been killed by either Voldemort or his followers (as they are still alive), and the most anxiety they’d have to deal with would be the daily pressures of school and worrying whether or not they’ll get their homework in on time.

But, there is a catch to all of this. Just because the Death Eaters never formed doesn’t mean that those who would have been amalgamated with the cult didn’t have a nasty disposition. One cannot change the nature of one’s soul, after all. They still abhor the muggle-born wizards. Some of those who would have aligned with the Dark Lord now have families, and yes, even children who now attend Hogwarts. These children are the real problem here. As, they have formed a tight-nit group of friends who ‘rule’ the school. They are all snobbish and loathe mud-bloods.
And, they detest Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
It appears that they the group of adolescents are becoming somewhat like ‘Death Eaters’ themselves, and this year they plan to go ‘one step further’ to ensure the future eradication of all mud-bloods. So, the question is: Will they become the villains and perform the mistake that history has rewritten itself not to commit? Or, can they be stopped and see the error in they mannerisms before things get too out-of-control?

It’s up to you to decide whether or not their plan will be put into action. Which side will you take?

That choice is yours alone…

Hi there. I'd really love you to write a plot for me. I /have/ one actually, but I didn't put all too much effort into it, etc. I didn';t write too much and I tried to make it more or less straightforward, because I hate having to read plots where there's like ten paragraphs and sentences with 100 words in them, so that in the end, you've got n idea what the plot's about anyway (provided you even bothered to read it). Sorry, a bit of a rant ^^. But the examples I've read of yours seem perfect. If you're interested, please pm me and I can send you my existing plot.

Awesome. Would you prefer I PM the info?

MarietheMouse - September 23, 2007 04:39 PM (GMT)
For Ricky...

I’m finished. I hope you don’t mind that I changed up the journal entry a bit. My great-aunt actually lives in an old mining town in Pennsylvania, so I know a little bit about them and the daily procedures that they undergo. I was trying to make this mine more consistent with how a mining operation is actually ran (for one, forty years in way too long because one has a thirty year limit before that individual is forced into retirement - so, I changed it to twenty 0-0).

Also, D-Day happened during WWII. XD So, the name of the day that the dragons’ reign started was changed to ‘the modern D-Day.’ And, the after-history explanation was a little too jumbled. So, I made it more orderly and added some things to it. I’m thinking that you based this off of the movie, Reign of Fire, but I’ve never seen it so I dunno. >.< I hope that you like this anyway.

QUOTE
It is the year 2015, and the world is in chaos.

The balance of the universe has been disrupted. The planet is a very different place, and humans are presently on the brink of extinction! But, one has to wonder how all this chaos started. Journey with me, if you will, into the past…And, review the last journal entry of Ryan Gallagher.

It is Sept. 25, 2005. The days have been long, and the smell of petroleum has filled our nostrils. We have been digging at this mine for over twenty years now. I have talked to many of my co-workers over the past few weeks, and a lot of them are starting to become apprehensive of loosing their jobs. We have been digging into the innermost caverns of the colliery in an attempt to reach hidden stores of coal for quite some time now. Since we were digging so deeply into the earth, we hadn’t had the chance to get power to the farthest reaches of the newer tunnels yet. So, many of the miners have had to resort to using the flashlights on their helmets instead.

Just the other day, a team of our principal miners were digging deep in a channel, and the ceiling collapsed down on top of them. The rescue team has yet to discover their bodies, but we are pretty sure that they are dead. The coal company is at a huge loss and is now facing charges. People suspicious that our safety regulations are not modernly perfected, otherwise the beams holding that warren up wouldn’t have buckled. And, there are concerns that we are excavating too deeply. I'm almost positive that the company will be forced to cease all current operations soon if it cannot prove that it’s regulations were, in fact, up-to-date. This means that a lot of people will enviably end up unemployed. And, some individuals, myself included, cannot afford to loose this job.

The deaths themselves had a devastating impact, but I came to look at why the tunnel had collapsed in the first place. Undoubtedly, the joists weren’t solely at fault! It seems that there is a huge entrance to a fissure inside the passageway. Once the excavation and rescue team had cleared the debris enough to revile it, I inquisitively went in and checked it out alone. It was completely dark, so I flashed my light inside. I couldn't even see the walls. But, the sound of trickling water echoed throughout the cavern, letting me know that it was indeed a substantially large grotto. I was surprised that it hadn’t collapsed along with the passageway.

I plan to take a group of our finest laborers to explore the cavern tomorrow. I hope that we might just be able to keep the mine open because of this discovery. Surely, others will also want to check it out. My hope is that I will be able to remain in my profession.

-Ryan Gallagher

The excavation of the secret fissure did not take place. The next morning, history was re-written. It started with a simple gas leak near a coal mine in England that started the chain-reaction. It ended in the explosion of the quarry and the deaths of all those who were working in it at the time of the detonation. About five minutes after the explosion, countless fire-breathing dragons emerged from the rubble and took to the air. They circled the city of London, scorching the bewildered city and reducing it to ash within ten minutes.

Over the next few years, the whole world fell to the supremacy of the dragons. Everything that mankind had worked so hard for was destroyed by the legendary creatures’ hell-fire. Millions of humans died and the lush greeneries of the world become vestiges. Everything was engulfed in flame.

Ten years later, the remnants of mankind has fled to a remote castle in the mountain region of England. That castle is that last remaining human stronghold. The only ones permitted to leave the castle are those that seek to gather food for the upcoming weeks. The people there live in fear that any given day might be their last. They no longer care for luxury. Instead, they concentrate on only one thing: survival.

Always watch the sky.

All life, in the sense that we once knew it, has long since perished with nothing remaining but rubble and ashes. There is nowhere to go; there is nowhere to hide -- how will you handle the heat?

And, for everyone else, I only have two more slots open. So, whoever can get me their PM first will be the ones that I write a plot for. ~.^

Welcome to Port Royal, an English settlement that is the center of shipping commerce in Jamaica. It is located along the shipping lanes to and from Spain and Panama.

Port Royal is quickly gaining a reputation as both the "richest and wickedest city in the world." It is notorious for its gaudy displays of wealth and loose morals, and it was once a popular place for pirates and privateers to bring and spend their treasure. Buccaneers found Port Royal appealing for several reasons. Its proximity to trade routes allowed them easy access to prey. The harbor was large enough to accommodate their ships and provided a place to careen and repair their vessels. It was also ideally situated for launching raids on Spanish settlements.

The English once lacked sufficient troops to prevent either the Spanish or the French from seizing Port Royal, so the Jamaican governors eventually turned to the pirates to defend the city.

Following Henry Morgan’s appointment as lieutenant governor, Port Royal began to change. Pirates no longer needed to defend the city. The selling of slaves took on greater importance. Upstanding citizens disliked that the reputation the city had acquired, and in 1687, Jamaica passed anti-piracy laws. Instead of being a safe haven for pirates, Port Royal became noted as their place of execution. Gallows Point welcomed many to their death, including Charles Vane and Calico Jack, who were hanged in 1720. Two years later, forty-one pirates met their death in one month.

The year is now 1725, and anti-piracy laws are still in effect in Port Royal. So, the pirates have taken a different refuge - Tortuga, an island pirate town near Haiti, out the jurisdiction of the Royal Navy and the East India Trading Company. While it remains a free port where traders can escape the high East India tariffs, it is a dangerous one and illegal transactions are common. You can choose to live out a normal life as a civilian, hunt down pirates, or you can become a pirate yourself.

One of the advantages of becoming a pirate is that you can hunt for treasure. But, be weary. The anti-piracy laws prevent you from entering certain places - but what pirate in their right mind would obey those, right?

I'm just waiting on your outline, pheonix, before I can start on yours. ^^

I haven't yet created the site, it will be made soon, but I do need a plot. I could write one, but I never like the plots I write, they just don't seem all that good. When you're free, I can PM you details and such. Yep. Thanks a whole lot. In advance.
